How to Open Futures
- First, login to your Coins.xyz account. On the navigation bar on the left side of your screen, select and click Futures.
2. You will first see our Simple Futures feature. Click on the Open Futures account button to begin.
- Make sure to carefully read through the agreement, risks and guidelines before filling in the tick boxes to open your Futures account.
- Before you fully activate your Futures account, you are required to take a short Futures knowledge quiz.
5. Once you have passed the quiz, you can start trading!
How to Fund Futures Account
If you want to start Futures trading, you would have to fund your Futures wallet. Click on the + icon beside Available balance to add funds.
You can easily transfer funds from your Spot wallet to your Futures wallet. Currently, only USDT is the available asset you may use on your Futures account. As you input the amount of USDT you want to transfer, you can also see your available Spot balance.
It’s important to note that your Futures wallet is separate from your Spot wallet. Any balance that you transfer to your Futures wallet may be at risk of liquidity in the event of extreme price movement.
How to Open a Position on Simple Futures
1. Selecting Trading Pair
Currently, only the BTC/USDT pair is available on Simple Futures. Watch out for future updates as we will be expanding our available pairs.
2. Leverage Selection
You can select your preferred multiplier. Please note that although gains may be higher as you increase leverage, your risk increases as well.
3. Input your Order quantity
Input the amount you want to trade. Simple Futures automatically sets the order price to market price.
Make sure you have enough balance in your Futures wallet. You may easily transfer more from your Spot wallet by clicking the + button.
4. Select Long or Short position
You can choose to either open a Long position (Buy Futures) or a Short position (Sell Futures). Your position would highly depend on your expectations of the market movement.
- Open a Long position if you expect the price will rise.
- Open a Short position if you expect the price will fall.
Although the price movement is not something you can predict with full accuracy, you can also do your own research to back up your decision.
5. Confirm your order
You can see your order details after clicking on Buy/Long or Sell/Short buttons. Once you have reviewed the details, click the Confirm button to continue with your order.
Note: If you do not wish to see an order confirmation for every order, you have the option to disable this by ticking the box. You may always update this under Settings if you want to enable it once more.
How to Close a Position on Simple Futures
1. Click Close Positions
If you have an open position currently, you will see the Close positions button.
2. Click Close Long / Short Position button
If you are ready to close your position, you may review your order details and click the Close button.
You may choose to close a position partially and reduce your position size by indicating the amount you want to close or adjusting the slider.
Simple Futures Actions and Settings
You can easily navigate to your Order History, Assets, Positions and Futures Info. There is also a Close all positions option.
If you want to change your Order confirmation settings, you may choose to switch the toggle on or off. If you switch this off, note that once you click the Buy/Long or Sell/Short buttons it will push through automatically.

How to Manage Your Futures Account Risk
On your Futures Portfolio, you can see your Margin Ratio. When the maintenance margin reaches 100%, liquidation will be triggered.
If you want maintain your Margin Ratio while keeping your position open, you would have to transfer more funds from your Spot wallet
