Are there fees on Spot Trade?
On Coins.xyz's Spot Trade platform, trading fees are structured using a Maker-Taker fee model. Here’s a brief overview of the fees involved:
Maker Fees
Maker fees apply to orders that add liquidity to the order book by not being instantly matched with existing orders.
Example: If you place a Limit Order to buy a cryptocurrency at a price lower than the current market price, this order remains on the order book until it is matched. Once executed, you are charged a maker fee.
Taker Fees
Taker fees are charged on orders that remove liquidity from the order book by being executed immediately against existing orders.
Examples:
All market orders, regardless of whether they are buy or sell, incur taker fees.
Stop-market orders are also charged taker fees when their stop price is reached and the market order is executed immediately.
Important Note
When placing orders, users should be aware that both maker and taker fees will apply based on how their orders interact with the market. For more information about your specific fees and how they may vary, please refer to the relevant sections on the Coins.xyz website.
