When reviewing your trading activity on Coins.xyz, you'll encounter two important records: Trade History and Order History.
Trade History vs. Order History
Trade History
- This section records all your filled orders, meaning it includes only the buy and sell transactions that were successfully executed.
- For example, if you place a limit buy order and it gets filled, this transaction will appear in your Trade History.
Order History
- This section provides a comprehensive record of both filled and canceled orders. It includes all orders you have placed, regardless of whether they were executed or not.
- For instance, if you place a limit buy order that remains unfilled and later decide to cancel it, this canceled order will be reflected in your Order History.
Example 1: Filled Order
Scenario:
- You place a limit buy order for 0.9803921 BTC at 87.02 USD
- A seller accepts your price, and the trade is executed
Result:
- This transaction will appear in both Trade History and Order History
Example 2: Canceled Order
Scenario:
- You place a limit buy order for 0.005 BTC at 17,238.41 USD
- The order remains unfilled for some time
- You decide to cancel the order
Result:
- This transaction will only appear in Order History
- It won't be in Trade History because no actual trade occurred
